I had hoped to have a new version of SLAPP available this month. But that is not going to happen. The new version was to be “complete” in the sense that it would have checking for all (non essay-type) exercises in Part I of Symbolic Logic. The checking project, including for translations, is going well. But in an effort to make SLAPP truly workable for courses in logic, I have gotten sidetracked into working out bugs in the RichTextArea editor included in SLAPP (instead of waiting for the originators to do so). With the assistance of Google’s Gemini, I have made some progress. But progress has been slow, and there are more problems than I realized.
All the same, I am faithfully working on the project and hope that the next release will be a giant step forward!
